TERMS OF USE
Effective: January 1, 2025
These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of PMU Scientist™ websites, learning platform, mobile or web applications, online courses including The Science Behind Your PMU Art®, live and recorded webinars, community membership known as The Science™ Circle, communications, and related services collectively called the Services. By clicking I accept or by using the Services you agree to be legally bound by these Terms and by the policies incorporated by reference including
Annex A Community and Platform Rules,
Annex B Intellectual Property and Brand Policy,
Annex C Payments Cancellations and Refunds Policy,
If you do not agree do not use the Services.
1. Who We Are
PMU Scientist™ is operated by a Belgium based company serving learners worldwide. References to we us or our mean the PMU Scientist™ operator and its affiliates and service providers acting on our behalf to deliver the Services.
2. Eligibility and Account Registration
- Minimum age is 13. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction you must have parental or guardian consent.
- You must be able to form a binding contract and comply with these Terms all applicable laws and our policies.
- Account information must be accurate complete and kept up to date. You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activity under your account.
- We may suspend disable or terminate access if these Terms policies or laws are violated.
3. License and Access
Subject to these Terms we grant you a limited personal non exclusive non transferable and revocable license to access and use the Services for your own educational and professional development. You may not share sell rent sublicense or otherwise transfer your account or access credentials. You may not reproduce distribute publicly display or create derivative works from the Services or content except as expressly permitted in writing.
4. Content Offerings and Changes
We may cancel interrupt reschedule or modify any course webinar module assessment assignment certificate community feature or other content offering. We may change the weighting of assignments quizzes or other assessments. Access to particular features may depend on your plan purchase region or compliance with policies.
5. No Academic Credit and No Automatic Licensing
- Completion of our courses or certificates does not grant academic credit or enrollment at a university or other institution.
- Participation does not establish student status with any third party institution.
- After graduation you do not automatically become a licensed PMU artist. Licensing registration hygiene and health and safety requirements are set by local law and vary by country and region. You are solely responsible for checking and complying with your local government rules and professional regulations before performing treatments on clients.
6. Educational Nature of the Services
We teach the scientific principles of pigments skin interactions safety frameworks and the artistry and decision frameworks of PMU. We do not teach medical treatment procedures and we do not direct you how to treat any specific client or condition. Any application of knowledge to treatments is performed by you at your sole discretion and risk. We are not responsible for your treatment outcomes choice of tools devices pigments anesthetics aftercare products or client communications and consent. Always follow local law and manufacturer instructions and obtain informed consent from your clients.
7. User Content and Conduct
User Content means any content you provide including assignments submissions portfolio items photos videos messages chats forum posts reviews feedback and profile information.
- You retain ownership of your User Content. You grant us a worldwide royalty free sublicensable non exclusive license to host store reproduce display adapt distribute and otherwise use your User Content as necessary to operate improve and promote the Services including for instructional showcases and quality assurance consistent with applicable law.
- You are solely responsible for your User Content and for ensuring you have all rights to submit it. Do not include confidential sensitive or personal data of clients unless you have written consent and it is lawful to share.
- We may moderate remove or restrict User Content that violates these Terms law or rights of others. See Annex A Community and Platform Rules and Annex D Code of Integrity.
8. Recordings of Live Sessions
- Most live trainings and webinars are recorded including video audio screen share chat polls captions and transcripts. A recording notice will be displayed or announced.
- By attending you consent to being recorded when your camera microphone screen share or chat are active. You may join with camera and microphone off and use chat selectively.
- Recordings are made available to enrolled learners and may be used for quality assurance content improvement and limited promotional excerpts where permitted by law and policy. We aim to minimize or anonymize learner identifiers where feasible.
9. Third Party Services
The Services integrate with third party tools such as payment processors webinar platforms hosting and analytics. Their terms and privacy notices apply to their services. We are not responsible for third party sites content or failures. Where required we will identify independent controllers for certain processing for example your card details are processed by the payment processor and not stored by us.
10. Payments Subscriptions and Refunds
Fees are quoted in EUR unless indicated otherwise. Payments are processed by our payment processor. Subscriptions including The Science™ Circle renew automatically until cancelled. Refunds cancellations trials upgrades downgrades credits and EU right of withdrawal are governed by Annex C Payments Cancellations and Refunds Policy which forms part of these Terms.
11. Security
We implement administrative technical and physical safeguards. No system is 100 percent secure. You must protect your account credentials and notify us promptly of any suspected unauthorized access.
12. Prohibited Activities
Your use of the Services must comply with Annex A Community and Platform Rules including restrictions on harassment illegal or unsafe content privacy violations scraping or mining content or data reverse engineering or training AI models on our content without written permission.
13. Intellectual Property
All course content recordings logos names trademarks including PMU Scientist™ The Science™ Circle and The Science Behind Your PMU Art® and platform materials are owned by us or our licensors and protected by law. Your use is limited to the license in Section 3. IP complaints and takedown requests are handled under Annex B Intellectual Property and Brand Policy.
14. Disclaimers
- The Services and all content are provided as is and as available without warranties of any kind whether express or implied.
- We disclaim warranties of merchantability fitness for a particular purpose non infringement accuracy or reliability and any warranties arising by usage or course of dealing.
- Education provided is general information and frameworks. It is not medical dermatological legal regulatory or professional advice for a particular client or case.
15. Limitation of Liability
- To the maximum extent permitted by law we are not liable for any indirect incidental special consequential or punitive damages or for loss of profits revenue goodwill data or business interruption.
- Our aggregate liability for all claims related to the Services is limited to the total amount paid by you to us for the specific course program subscription or service that gave rise to the claim.
- You acknowledge that PMU education involves inherent risks including risks related to pigments devices techniques and client reactions and that you are responsible for testing patch tests hygiene protocols client consultations and aftercare instructions in accordance with local law and manufacturer guidelines.
16. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify defend and hold harmless PMU Scientist™ and its officers directors employees contractors instructors and partners from and against any claims losses damages liabilities costs and expenses including reasonable legal fees arising from or related to your use of the Services in violation of these Terms your violation of law or third party rights your User Content and any claims complaints injuries or damages brought by your customers models or third parties relating to PMU procedures pigments devices aftercare or communications performed by you whether or not based on training received from us.
17. Suspension Termination and Survival
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time for violations of these Terms policies or law or for misuse security risks or non payment. Upon termination your license ends and you must stop using the Services. Sections that by their nature should survive will survive including intellectual property disclaimers limitations of liability indemnification and governing law.
18. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter or formation are governed by the laws of Belgium without regard to conflict of law principles. You agree that the competent courts of Belgium shall have exclusive jurisdiction over all disputes and proceedings subject to mandatory consumer protections that cannot be waived under the law of your habitual residence.
19. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms. If changes are material we will provide reasonable notice by email in product notice or other lawful means. Unless stated otherwise revisions are effective on posting. Continued use of the Services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Annex A. Community and Platform Rules
These rules apply to forums chats webinars reviews messages uploads and any interactive or collaborative features.
- No illegal content threats harassment hate speech bullying stalking doxxing or encouragement of self harm or violence.
- No content that gives unsafe instructions or promotes practices contrary to professional hygiene safety or local law.
- No sharing of personal data of clients or third parties without written consent and legal basis. De identify where possible.
- No infringement of copyright trademark privacy or publicity rights. Attribute sources correctly.
- No spam promotions chain messages or irrelevant advertising without our written permission.
- No impersonation misrepresentation phishing or attempts to access another users account.
- No reverse engineering interference or disruption of the Services. No malware or attempts to bypass security.
- No scraping text or data mining or use of any content data video audio or materials to train models including AI or machine learning without our prior written permission.
- Follow instructor and staff directions for coursework deadlines exam integrity and community conduct.
Violations may lead to removal of content warnings suspension or termination without refund where applicable and to reporting to authorities when required by law.
Annex B. Intellectual Property and Brand Policy
All course content, recordings, written materials, designs, frameworks, trademarks, and brand elements associated with PMU Scientist™ including but not limited to The Science Behind Your PMU Art®, The Science™ Circle, R.E.A.D.™ and SCAN™ methods are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. These materials are owned exclusively by PMU Scientist™ or our licensors.
You are granted a limited license to access these materials solely for your personal educational use through the Services. You may not copy, reproduce, record, distribute, resell, publicly display, sublicense, modify, or create derivative works from our content without our prior written consent.
Infringement and Breach
Any infringement of our intellectual property rights - including but not limited to unauthorized copying, sharing, distribution, resale, training others using our materials, misusing our trademarks, or falsely claiming affiliation with PMU Scientist™ - constitutes a material breach of these Terms.
Upon discovery of such infringement, we may immediately:
- Terminate your access to the Services without refund.
- Revoke any certificates or designations issued to you.
- Blacklist your account and exclude you from future participation.
- Notify industry associations, professional networks, or partners of serious breaches to protect the integrity of our certifications.
Penalties and Liquidated Damages
You acknowledge and agree that unauthorized use of our intellectual property causes substantial harm to PMU Scientist™ and that actual damages may be difficult to quantify. Therefore, in addition to any actual damages and recovery of legal fees, we reserve the right to impose liquidated damages of up to EUR 10,000 per violation. This amount represents a fair and reasonable estimate of harm and is not a penalty. Multiple infringements may be aggregated.
Reporting Infringement
If you believe that your intellectual property rights are being infringed through our Services, please contact us at [email protected] with the following:
- Your full name and contact information.
- Identification of the copyrighted work, trademark, or material claimed to be infringed with proof of ownership.
- Identification of the allegedly infringing material and its location on our Services (e.g., URL, screenshots).
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the rights owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information provided is accurate, and that you are the owner or authorized to act on the owner’s behalf (if required by law, include a statement under penalty of perjury).
- Your electronic or physical signature.
Annex C. Payments, Cancellations and Refunds Policy
This policy forms part of the Terms of Use and applies to one-time purchases, subscriptions, bundles, and other paid services provided by PMU Scientist™.
1. Prices and Taxes
- Prices are listed in EUR unless stated otherwise. Taxes and currency conversion fees may apply based on your billing address and payment method.
- We may change prices or promotional offers prospectively. Changes do not affect purchases already completed.
2. Payments and Processor
- Payments are processed by our third-party payment processor. We do not store full card numbers.
- You authorize charges to your selected payment method for the applicable fees and taxes.
- If a charge fails, we may retry, charge a different method on file, suspend access, or use collection methods as permitted by law.
3. EU and UK Right of Withdrawal
If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you normally have a legal right to withdraw from a digital content contract within 14 days after purchase, under the EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU and equivalent UK consumer legislation.
Under Article 16 of the Directive and UK law, this right of withdrawal does not apply once digital content has been delivered. By purchasing and accessing our courses, programs, webinars, or digital products, you expressly agree that delivery begins immediately and that once access has started, your purchase becomes strictly non-refundable.
4. Our Commercial Refund Policy (Goodwill)
Notwithstanding the legal position above, PMU Scientist™ might offer a limited commercial refund policy as a matter of goodwill. Unless stated otherwise, you may request a full refund within 14 days of purchase. Please contact our Student Support [email protected].
5. Subscriptions (including The Science™ Circle)
- Monthly subscriptions renew each month on the billing date until cancelled. Yearly subscriptions renew yearly.
- Cancel at any time to stop future renewals. Access continues until the end of the current paid term. No pro-rata refunds are given for partial terms unless required by law.
- Free trials, where offered, convert to paid subscriptions unless you cancel before the trial ends. If you complete a course during a free trial, we may require payment of the first billing term to issue a certificate.
Key Definitions
- Services means all PMU Scientist™ offerings including websites apps online courses webinars recordings communities communications and related materials.
- User Content means any content you submit including assignments posts chats reviews images videos and messages.
- Course means any paid or free learning module program or bundle including The Science Behind Your PMU Art®.
- Subscription means a recurring plan such as The Science™ Circle with monthly or yearly billing.
