I’ve never been very good at simply accepting an answer.
And it turns out, that this became one of the most valuable things I can teach others, too.
It started with curiosity. A lot of it.
When something genuinely matters to me, i’ve always been the person who wants to know ‘the why’.
As a child, I was probably that slightly annoying kid who wouldn’t simply accept an answer and move on. And that never really went away.
And that never really went away. Even after hearing ‘the Why’ I often still wanted to know: “How do you know?” or “Let me look that up for myself.”
Little did I know that this slightly detective-like personality trait would become one of the most valuable qualities throughout my career, helping me become one of the early pioneers introducing the Ombre Brows technique to the global PMU industry back in 2016, a full decade ago.
And later, helping me become a leading voice within the industry on pigmentology, colour and the deeper science behind our healed PMU results.
Turns out, there’s no such thing as being too curious.
From Ombre Brows to Harvard medical school.
As my career continued to grow, after performing thousands of treatments myself and educating thousands of students worldwide, it became clear to me that good PMU results depend on so much more than design, tools, pigments and skin colour.
The deeper I looked, the more contradicting information I found.
One trainer said this. A brand explained it differently. Another expert had another answer altogether. And somehow, improving my results always seemed to lead back to the same solution:
Use this new product. Try this new machine. Or learn another technique.
But I wasn’t looking for new & more. I was looking for clarity.
I wanted knowledge that existed independently from brands, sponsorships and sales narratives, and I wanted to learn in an environment where science, research and evidence came first.
That search eventually became years of scientific study and research and took me all the way to advanced studies in Pharmacology and Immunology at Harvard Medical School.
And what happened next changed much more than my knowledge.
The biggest change wasn’t what I knew. It was how I started thinking.
Science opened up a completely different level of understanding behind our PMU results, including principles essential to our work that were rarely discussed in traditional PMU education.
That already changed só much in my own work and results. But perhaps even more importantly, it changed the way I started thinking within my work as PMU artist.
I became less influenced by the technique taking over my Instagram feed, the product or brand everyone was suddenly talking about,or whatever was being presented as the next big trend.
Instead, I learned how to look deeper, analyse information, look for evidence and decide what actually deserved my trust, time, money and attention before simply buying or following. And with that came a level of confidence I had never experienced before in my career.
I didn’t become a different artist. I became a stronger version of the artist I already was.
I had discovered another way to grow that builds from within me and didn’t depend on always chasing ‘new & more’.
And I wanted other ambitious PMU artists to have access to that too.

My forever-curious mind became a first-of-its-kind education
I created The Science Behind Your PMU Art™ to bring the independent, evidence-led scientific education into PMU that I had been looking for myself.
It quickly gained international attention, taking me to 34 educational and speaking events around the world and allowing me to teach more than 1,500 artists live within its first two years.
But there was one problem: there are only so many flights you can take, only so many artists you can reach, and only so much science you can fit into two days of live teaching.
So, I took PMU Science online — and made it even deeper.
Online allowed me to turn complex science into detailed visuals and animations, add more extensive workbooks, checklists and practical tools, and give you something two live days never could: the ability to pause, revisit and keep learning until it truly clicks.
And somewhere along the way, I realised that what I was creating had become much bigger than “just an online education.”
Fast forward to today…
PMU Scientist™ has grown into a global certification you can be proud to carry strengthening your confidence and adding another layer of authority, credibility and trust to the name you’ve already built for yourself.
